11 O'Clock Numbers with Christina Bianco, Carole J. Bufford & Scott Coulter & Jim Caruso's Cast Party April 2, 2012 @ Birdland (New York)

The Broadway at Birdland concert series is proud to present the return of the spectacular revue 11 O’Clock Numbers… this time at 7:00pm on Monday, April 2.

Scott Siegel, who created such landmark concert series at Town Hall as Broadway by the Year and Broadway Unplugged, will bring his long-running, hit nightclub show from Feinstein’s at the Loew’s Regency to Broadway at Birdland for one unforgettable night. For the first time, you will be able to see 11 O’Clock Numbers at 7:00 with its original stars, Christina BiancoCarole J. Bufford and Scott Coulter.

11 O’Clock Numbers (a musical theatre term for those blowout songs near the end of the show that rock the house) features an extraordinarily surprising range of songs from the 1930’s to the present, performed in an equally surprising range of styles. Critically acclaimed, the show ran for eight months at Feinstein’s At The Regency.

Cabaret and Broadway impresario Jim Caruso hosts the world famous ‘extreme’ open-mic night to remember every Monday night at Birdland in New York City.

Jim Caruso’s Cast Party is a wildly popular weekly soiree that brings a sprinkling of Broadway glitz and urbane wit to the legendary Birdland in New York City every Monday night. It’s a cool cabaret night-out enlivened by a hilariously impromptu variety show. Showbiz superstars like Liza Minnelli, Chita Rivera and Michael Feinstein hit the stage alongside up-and-comers, serving up jaw-dropping music and general razzle-dazzle. At the Cast party, the best and the brightest stars and stars-to-be in cabaret, jazz, musical theatre and everything in between take their turns to sing their favourite tunes.

Since starting in 2003, it’s become a New York institution where who’s who of cabaret, jazz, musical theatre and everything in between, emerging talents and their fans gather and sing their hearts out.

Jim Caruso runs a tight ship with his brilliant emcee skills. Alongside him are musical directors Tedd Firth or Billy Stritch at the piano and Steve Doyle on bass. It’s a party that would happen “if somehow David Letterman and Ed Sullivan threw a hip house party around the nine-foot concert grand piano.”
