2010 Adelaide Cabaret Festival: Shoshana Bean: Late Night in the Banquet Room - 25th & 26th June
Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at 7:00AM
“Shoshana Bean has become synonymous with the word ‘soulful’. Equipped with the effortlessness of Mariah Carey, the power of Whitney Houston, and the attitude of Beyoncé Knowles… Bean can do it all” (broadwayworld.com)
Adelaide Cabaret Festival is thrilled to announce this late addition to the Festival bill, monumentally spearheaded by facebook group ‘Bring Shoshana Bean to Adelaide when she comes to Australia’.
Shoshana Bean is America’s cabaret dymanite. If you ever wanted to be a cabaret rockstar, you’d want to be Shoshana Bean.
Best known for her roles in Broadway smash hits including Wicked and Hairspray, Shoshana has also performed with Whitney Houston, Destiny’s Child, *NSYNC, Ray Charles, Britney Spears and Michael Jackson. She is a whirlwind of show and excitement and here in Adelaide by virtue of an intense popular demand.
Shoshana, her musical director and a band of local talent will close the Adelaide Cabaret Festival with two concerts filled with soaring rainbows of soul.
Shoshana Bean is the next big thing… whether it’s Broadway, the pop scene, or the deep underworld of soul and blues we’re not completely sure; maybe all of them. Come see for yourself.
Shoshana is also performing as part of Harvest Rain Theatre Company’s Broadway to Brisvagas Series on Wed 23 June. Thanks also to Arts Asia Pacific.
